He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine (Vivian) and Trinidad; and his siblings, Edris, Carlton'Orlando', Ethel, Lenox'Joe', Lloyd and Vernon.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer; his children, Shawn and Samantha (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Taylor, Ronan and Sierra; and his sister Janet. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Elton "Mervin" Samuel died on September 9, 2024 following a decline related to a prolonged illness and complications related to Advanced Alzheimer's disease.
