It is with sadness that the passing of Glenys Marie Barker (Ajax, Ontario) is shared. Glenys, born on April 15, 1945, passed away on August 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Christopher Barker-Tonge; her parents, Ernest Roberts and Glenys Roberts of Wales; and her sibling Hilary Williams. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Barker; her daughter Sarah Osgoode (Stephen); her siblings, Heather Roberts (Anna Balaban), Gwyn Roberts (Ilinos), Linda Ellis (Aled), John W. Redburn (Lise), Court Redburn (Deborah), Adele Hazlitt (William), Mary Ellen Goucher (David) and Christopher Redburn; and her former husband Peter Tonge. She is also survived by her many family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McEachnie Funeral Home Chapel (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, ON L1T2Z7). A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:15 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens (1757 Church St N, Ajax, ON L1T4R3). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion (1555 Bayly St, Pickering, ON L1W3W1).
A huge animal lover and pet-parent her entire life, in-lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated by the family.
