He was predeceased by: his siblings, William (Bill), Robert McCowan (Bob) and Helen Thomson (McCowan). He is survived by: his significant other Pamela Morris; his children, John McCowan (Brenda), Ann Wakelin (Rob) and Michelle McCowan; his grandchildren, Evan Wakelin (Greta), Wesley Wakelin (Larissa), Robin Wakelin, Jackie McCowan and James McCowan; his great grandchild Gordon Wakelin; and his brother John McCowan (Jack).
