He is survived by: his children, Kristina and Richard (Priyanka); his sister Donna-Maria; his sister-in-law Zelda; his nieces, Rebecca and Candace (Adam); his sister-in-law Violet; his nephew Christopher; his nieces, Samantha and Sabrina; his sister-in-law Vera; his niece Natasha (Andrew); his daughter-in-law Priyanka; his granddaughter Scarlett Marie DeCaires; Ratan, Rozana De'Golder, Rahul (Amanda) and Aniyah. He is also survived by his parents and siblings growing up and with his own family.

As a previous survivor of bladder cancer, and to hopefully one day find a cure for the cancer that ultimately took his life, in lieu of flowers or other considerations, the family asks that you please consider donating in his honour to the Canadian Cancer Society.
