Sue Hampson wrote a sympathy message

“To the family of Karen and her mom Gladys, dad, Otto and sister Janet, my deepest condolences to you all. Karen and I had kept touch on messenger and I will miss her deeply. As young kids we had a privileged upbringing with such wonderful parents and friends. I will never forget her laugh, flaming red hair and all the fun we had as next door neighbours. You will be deeply missed my friend. Sending love and hugs to the entire family. Sue Hampson (Buchan).”
