He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Monan and Joan Monan; his siblings, Jane Crawley, Christine Corbett and Victor Monan; and his brothers-in-law, Abe Blake, Ken Crawley, Sheldon Sheppard, Charlie Corbett and Larry LeBlanc.

He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his children, Andrea (Totis) and Ryan; his grandchildren, Alannah, Braden, Xavier and Carina; his sisters, Kay Blake, Heather Sirman (Brian) and Debbie Monan; and his sisters-in-law, Shelley Monan, Patricia Mason (Vern) and Arlene LeBlanc. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
