She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harris and Mary Alice Harris (Nee Houston); her husband Percy Mayers; her daughter Diane Saxon Carter; her grandson Gregory Saxon Jr.; and her siblings, James Harris Jr., Joseph Harris (Fannie), Mary Alice Miller (Jessie) and Carrie Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Bertha Johnson and Gregory Saxon (Claudine); her stepdaughters, Edith Gentles and Christine Szymanski; and her grandchildren, Jason Gilchrist (Melissa), Brandon Johnson, Dea Temple-Johnson (Brandon), Candace Saxon, Jermaine Sampson and Collin McCloud.
