He was predeceased by: his parents, Armand Richer and Rosaria "Rose" Richer; and his siblings, Berthol, Lise Lurette and Normand.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Joly-Richer; his children, Natalie (late Kevin Findlay), Philippe Richer and Céline Jenkins; and his brother Michel (Ava). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
