Terence McLean Obituary

Terence “Terry” McLean, age 82, of Alexandria, Ontario, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at Hospice Cornwall.

Born in the north of England, Terry emigrated to Canada in 1969. He dedicated most of his career to his work as an electrician with Air Canada in Dorval, Quebec. Beyond his professional life, Terry was an avid astronomer, golfer, and curler. He will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and a loyal friend to many.

Terry married the love of his life, Lillian (née Chambers), on June 5, 1965, in Billingham, England. Together they built a life filled with love and family. He was the proud and loving father of Michael (Anouk Patenaude), Christopher (Deborah Scott), and Paul (Natacha Patenaude).

He will be deeply missed by his beloved grandchildren: Julia, Rachel, Sofia, Zachary, Ronan, and William.

Terry was predeceased by his parents, James and Alice McLean (née Broom), and his brothers, Brian and Bernard.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Finnan’s Basilica, 72 St. Paul Street, Alexandria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
