She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen McDonnell and Christina McDonnell; and her brother Brendan (Toronto). She is survived by: her husband John; her daughter Jean; her sisters, Rita Healy (Eamon) and Stephanie Byrne (Albert); her granddaughter Olivia Bittman; and her caregivers, Melissa, Megan, Rolly and Nicole.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Drury Funeral Centre (519 Victoria St E, Alliston, ON L9R1K1).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura's memory may be made to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation or Matthews House Hospice.
