We announce the death of Rosemary Dorothy Farrugia (Alliston, Ontario), who passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 79. Rosemary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Joseph Farrugia; her children, Leeanne (Larry), Johnny (Carol), Michael and Joseph; her grandchildren, Cedar, Juneau, Asa, Avery Rose, Noah, Ella and Simone; her siblings, David, Sheila, George, Nicola, Jill, John and Ruth; her sisters-in-law, Mary Farley and Eileen Long; and her parents, Joseph Gibson and Doreen Gibson (Brabazon). She was also cherished by her nieces, nephews, many friends and furry companions.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Drury Funeral Centre (519 Victoria St E, Alliston, ON L9R1K1). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (4781 Concession Rd 5, Alliston, ON L9R1K1). A reception will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the St. Paul the Apostle Church (190 King St S, Alliston, ON L9R1B9).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Matthews House Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
