He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Waldemar Carstens and Lieselotte Carstens; his granddaughter Jordan; and his in-laws, Clifford and Velma Krose.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his daughters, Pamela (Josh McElheran) and Iris (Tyler Fawcett); his grandchildren, Owen, Henry McElheran, Chase and Jake Fawcett; his sister Rose Carstens (Andres Gurumeta); and his siblings-in-law, Brent Krose (Lynda) and Bev Diotte.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the C. R. Gamble Funeral Home (127 Church St, Almonte, ON K0A1A0).
Donations in memory of Claus may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation or the Ottawa General Hospital Foundation.
