As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ernest may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; and his parents, Ann Preston and Melvin Preston. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Erin Brooks (Nick Maclean) and Daniel Brooks (Emily Charlebois); and his great grandchild Olivia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Almonte United Church (106 Elgin St, Almonte, ON K0A1A0). A reception will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Almonte General Hospital would be most appreciated.
