He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Charlene Scott; his children, Derek and Kasey (Dan); his grandchildren, Palmer and Brady; his parents, Alec and Doris; his siblings, Carmel, David, Sharon (Dan Coady), Richard, Jeffrey, Jimmy, Ann and Clark; and his sister-in-law Shelley. He was also cherished by his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
