Daniel LaPorte Obituary

We bid farewell to Daniel LaPorte (Amherstburg, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 19, 2025 at the age of 70. Daniel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his father Rene LaPorte; and his in-laws, Darlene and Harold Bernachi. He is survived by: his children, Justin LaPorte (Jessica) and Dana Ubakar (Bruno); his grandchildren, Vivien, Alessia, Christie Lyn and Alexander; his mother Georgette LaPorte; his siblings, Michelle, Richard, Rene (Brandy), Marc (Anna) and Jerome; and his siblings-in-law, Cal, Jan (Glenn), Jay (Eva), Tod (Michelle) and Lia (Ray). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Families First Funeral Home (585 Sandwich St S, Amherstburg, ON N9V3W3). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (225 Brock St, Amherstburg, ON N9V2H3).
