He was predeceased by: his parents, Onorio Vitella and Anna-Maria Vitella; his parents-in-law, Riziero and Maria Costantini; and his siblings-in-law, Alessio, Anna, Roberto (Barbara) and Giuliano (Sonia).
He is survived by: his wife Marisa; his children, Onorio (Eleonora), Tony (Krystle), Anna-Maria (Daniel), Diana (Kyle) and Donato Jr. (Dani); his grandchildren, Francesco, Micayla Azzura, Connor, Rocco, Leonardo, Blake, Oscar-Lorenzo, Lilyana, Tatiana and Finley; and his siblings, Emma, Domenic (Sandy), Aldo (Nancy), John (Nancy), Enzo, Frank (Laura) and Tony (Yosra).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 6th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Families First (585 Sandwich St S, Amherstburg, ON N9V0E2). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Loving Memory (585 Sandwich St S, Amherstburg, ON N9V0E2).
