He was predeceased by: his wife Mary (Bryksa); his parents, William Hanchar and Irene Hanchar; and his brothers, Mike and John Hanchar.

He is survived by: his children, Tammy Mullins, Bill (Jenn) and John; and his siblings, Ernie Hanchar (Lorraine), Sylvia Hainstock (Ron) and Lynda Storozuk. He is also survived by many relatives, friends.
