He was predeceased by : his daughter Angela Fejer-Benoit; his parents, Bill Matier and Grace Matier; and his siblings, Dan, Nick and Doreen.

He is survived by : his wife Wanda Olson-Matier; his children, Michael of Toronto, Tracey of Kingston and Richard (April) of Perth; his grandchildren, John (Kristen), Hannah (Dan), Ashley, Emily, Chris and Kyle (Kylie); his great grandchildren, Alice, Bentley, Hunter and Asher; and his brothers, Chris (Karen) of Phoenix and Terry of Kingston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Alban's Anglican Church or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
