Il était également aimé de plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Après avoir quitté l'OCDE, Donald a présidé la Fondation McCall MacBain pour plus de dix ans, et a continué à mettre sa vaste expérience au service de diverses organisations, conférences, publications et causes sociales importantes pour lui.
