She was predeceased by: her daughter-in-law Laurie Burrows; her sister Florence Smith; and her niece Linda Bryant. She is survived by: her husband Jack; her children, Karen Burrows (David Blascik) and Bruce (Debra Williams); her grandsons, Alexander and Daniel Burrows; her stepgrandchildren, Taylor Williams (Braedon Sharpe) and Etienne Williams (Megan); her great grandchild Emilia; her nieces and nephews, Earla Smith and Todd Smith (Kim); and her great-niece Genna Rattray.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maria to Thyme to Thrive Foundation or St. John's Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
