He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Anita; his children, Alain, Reine Bernard-Fortier, Serge, Nancy Flaherty (Steve) and Sylvain; his parents, Joseph Bernard and Marie-Blanche Bernard; and his brother Horace Bernard (Annette). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
