She was predeceased by : her husbands, Melvin (Mev) and Harris; her siblings, Jean Evenson (late Ken) and Lennis Bretzlaff (late Myrtle); and her parents, Herman Bretzlaff and Helena Bretzlaff (Zimmerling).

She is survived by : her siblings, Rachel Stokes (late Gerry), Lorne Bretzlaff (Jo Anne), Roy Bretzlaff (Steward), Mel Bretzlaff (Marion) and Gale Emmerson; and her siblings-in-law, Claire Moore, Vi Robitaille and Jean Zimmerling (Clarence). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

In memory of Joyce, a donation may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Arnprior or the Arnprior-Braeside-McNab Seniors at Home Program.
