He was predeceased by: his significant other Janet Tearle; his child Kim Stevens; his grandchildren, Jaime, Joshua and Jade; his sibling Bea Okum (late John); and his parent Ferdinand Lapierre.

He is survived by: his children, Valerie Brohart (Brian), Debbie Gierman (Garry), Maurice Jr. and John "Fergy"; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Jesse, Brandon, Kelsey and Ryan; his siblings, Joe (Nicole), Norbert (Andrée), Leo (Lesley), Gordon (late Yvonne), Sylvia Hogarth (late Bill) and Cecile Locke (late Ken); and his parent Delia Lapierre.

In memory of Moe, a donation to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by his family.
