The passing of Richard Allan Hughes of Arnprior, Ontario, born in Toronto, Ontario leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on November 13, 2025 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his son Gordon (Kathryn Hughes). He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his daughters, Karen (Dan Quinn) and Sandra (James Rector); and his grandsons, Justin (Audrey), Nathaniel (Crystalle), Evan (Jessie), Jack (Jordyn), Gordon (Bayleigh) and Andrew. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.

A burial will be held on Thursday, November 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery (3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, ON K2C3H1).
