She was predeceased by : her husband James Mendowegan; her children, James "Jamie" Matasawagan Jr., Audrey Matasawagan, Judy Majiskan and Loretta Matasawagan; her sister Francis Matasawagan; and her grandson Cyrano Majiskan.

She is survived by : her daughters, Sheila Jacob of Aroland and Norma Mendowegan of Hornepayne; and her nephew Fabian Matasawagan of Geraldton. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
