She was predeceased by: her husband Harold McGaughey; her parents, August Hartwick and Lillian Hartwick; her brothers, Frank, Marvin, Ron and Clair Hartwick; and her son-in-law George Wong.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Wong of Mississauga, Beth Ferringo of Guelph, Bob McGaughey of Guelph, Roy McGaughey of Guelph, Donna McGaughey (Paul Adie) of Guelph and Marie Ireland (Tom Hornibrook) of Alliston. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and friends.
