He was predeceased by: his siblings, Hennie Bakker, Lammy Schapelhouman, Albert Holtrop, Binne Holtrop and Greitje Limberg; and his parents, Johannes Holtrop and Margje Klaver.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Ann Holtrop; his children, Margaret Godkin (Steve), Ruth Halladay (Darrell) and Gorden Holtrop; his grandchildren, Jennifer Godkin, Jonathan Godkin, Braxton Halladay, Addi Halladay, Shelby Holtrop (Dillon), Holly Holtrop (Mark) and Joel Holtrop (Susie); his sibling Lenie Faro (Arend); and his sisters-in-law, Marjeke Holtrop and Jentje Holtrop. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Holtrop Residence (10247 Dixie Rd E, Elizabethtown-Kitley, ON K0E1A0).
Donations to Maple View Lodge or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
