We bid farewell to Gary Jan Weidenaar (Athens, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 12, 2026 at the age of 67. Gary touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Weidenaar and Agnes Weidenaar; his brother Allen Weidenaar; and his father-in-law Donald Toohey. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Weidenaar; his daughters, Tammy Rothwell and Angela Kerr; his grandchildren, Cole Rothwell (Kennedy), Chase Rothwell and Kacey Kerr; his siblings, Marie Smid (Charles), Minka Wouda, Jack Weidenaar (Wilma), Mary Rimmer (Tom), Grace Post (Herman), Amy Brownhill (Allen) and Patricia Ann; his mother-in-law Marjorie Toohey; and his sister-in-law Judy Michel.

In memory of Gary, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Canadian Cancer Society, which would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
