He is survived by: his wife Rita Maria Vinck; his children, Kevin Lee Hoard (Julie), Gary William Hoard (Stasia), Diane Lynn Hoard and Dennis James Hoard (Patricia); his grandchildren, Stefan, Alina, Livia, Kaleb and Brennan; his siblings, Cindy Stuart (Ron), David Hoard (Danila), Lynn Hoard (Darlene) and Stan Hoard (Linda); and his sister-in-law Darlene Hoard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society to support other families living with Alzheimer's disease.
