It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hendricks Wiersema in Atikokan, Ontario, who passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jan Wiersema and Froukje Wiersema; his siblings, Nick Wiersema, Feitze Wiersema (Klazine), Louie Wiersema (Elsa), Thea Sinninghe (Thys), Bernie Wiersema, Ann van Leeuwen (Burt), Harry Wiersema (Mary), John Wiersema and Lottie Schanowski (Archie); and his brothers-in-law, Hank Bakker and Dan Dieleman.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jean Bain; his children, Pamela Fayrick (Joe) and Dale Wiersema (Maxine); his grandchildren, Dylan (Amy), Cassandra Fayrick, Eric, Daniel and Adam Wiersema; his great grandchildren, Maisie and Molly Fayrick; his siblings, Annie Bakker, Bertha Dieleman, Archie Wiersema (Eleanor), Corrie Wiersema (Janice), Eltjo Wiersema (Dorothy) and Anneke Brown (Nelson); and his sisters-in-law, Jean Wiersema and Hetty Wiersema.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Riverview United Church (169 Pine Crescent, Atikokan, ON P0T1C0).
In lieu of flowers, should family and friends so desire, donations made in memory of Henry to the Riverview United Church, Atikokan General Hospital, or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
