John Blair McInnis Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of John Blair McInnis (Atikokan, Ontario) is shared. John Blair, born on June 4, 1943, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marie McInnis; his parents, Hazel McInnis and Gerald McInnis; his siblings, Gary Ogden, Denis McInnis and Louise McInnis; his uncle Andrew McInnis; and his grandparents, Pearl and John McInnis.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kim McInnis and Deanna McInnis-Goranson (Leonard); his grandchildren, Kayla Goranson (Anojan Palarajah), Maija Goranson (AJ Mychasiw), Amanda Held and Bradley Morningstar (Sylvie); his great grandchildren, Logan Compardo-McInnis, Evie, Marion Held, Magnus, Mina Goranson-Palarajah, Asa and Jack Mychasiw-Goranson; and his siblings, Carol McInnis and Peter Elliott (Linda). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Atikokan Roman Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Atikokan General Hospital.
