She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jim" Barton; her sons-in-law, Murray Long and Bob Robertson; her sisters, Elaine Carson (Albert), Ruth Johnston (Clayton) and Marguerite Wilson (Elgin); and her parents, Bill Johnson and Gladys Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Long, Elmwood and Lois Robertson of Atwood; and her grandchildren, Shelley Long, Kelly Robertson (Kevin Jackson) and Tim Robertson (Carla). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Livingston Manor Residence Council or charity of one's choice in memory of Dorothy.
