He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hamilton and Dorothy Hamilton of Trowbridge; and his brothers, Robert Hamilton, Cliff Hamilton, Barry Hamilton and David Hamilton.

He is survived by: his children, Sarah Smith, Nichole Jamieson (Dale), Adam Hamilton (Tammy), William Hamilton (Kayla) and Emma Yates (Stewart); his grandchildren, Pearson Smith (Ashley), Mackenzie Hamilton (Bryce), Victoria Ducharme (Evan), Shelby Robbins (Scott), Madison Hinschberger, Lucas Jamieson (Megan), Abigail Jamieson (Logan Miller), Neve Jamieson, Dalton Hamilton, Owen Hamilton (Kelsey), Reece Hamilton, Broderick Hamilton, Wrenn Hamilton and Winston Yates; Judy Dunnell, Margaret Young (Frank) and Gus Hamilton (Janine).
