He was predeceased by: his wife Colleen Howatt; his parents, Christina Howatt and Wilmer Howatt; his son Kent Howatt; and his siblings, Helen Hodgert (Mac), Jim Howatt (Delores) and John Howatt.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Howatt and Keith Howatt (Shelley) of Chestermere, Alberta.; his grandsons, Michael (Bre Lukash) of Calgary and Matthew (Cailea Slifka) of Chestermere, Alberta.; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Howatt of Stratford. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many good friends.
