He was predeceased by: his spouse Milly; his grandson Mark Trost; his parents, Jozef and Marjeta; and his siblings, Marija, Marjeta, Jozef, Anton, Bernard, Roza and Ivan.
He is survived by: his children, Rosemary (Darko Komunjar), John Trost (Lucy) and Paul Trost (Charlene); his grandchildren, Chad (Sara), Nikki, Christopher and Nicholas; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Lukas Trost, Colbie Capri Komunjar-Skorski, Rodney Levi Komunjar and Skorski; and his sister Mary.
