Ignazio Giona Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ignazio Giona (Aurora, Ontario), who passed away on October 28, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio and Giovanna. He is survived by: his children, Domenic (Judi), Tina and Frances (Steve); his wife Elena; and his great grandchildren, Caitlin, Adam, Cristian, Nico, Luca, Julianna, Anthony and Olivia.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home (530 Industrial Pkwy S, Aurora, ON L4G6W8). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Beechwood Cemetery (Vaughan, ON L4K1A7).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CAMH or Foster Parents Society of Ontario.
