He was predeceased by : his parents, John Bryden II and Margaret Bryden; his daughter Lynn (Johnny); and his sisters, Babs and Mae.

He is survived by : his sister Barbara (Babs); his wife Alison Johnston Chambers MacDonald; his son John (Kathy Kawaja Bryden); and his grandchildren, Kyle, Carly and Ryan.
