He was predeceased by : his siblings, Dora Wiltsie, Eileen, Ronald and Russell McNeil; his daughter-in-law Chrissy Walker; and his parents, Hugh McNeil and Mabel McNeil (Bancroft).

He is survived by : his wife Evelyn McNeil (Smith); his children, Larry McNeil (Val) of Lyons and Laurie Abell (Jeff); his grandchildren, Matt (Kyla), Mike (Dayna), Mark (Ashlan), Katie (Justin), Steven (Sarah), Cheryl (Jeff), Jonathan and Jane (Wes); and his brothers-in-law, Don Smith (Shirley) and Wilbur Smith. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
