She was predeceased by : her parents, Enne Hovius and Wiebrije Hovius (Wilma); her siblings, Wiebrand Hovius and Aafke Hoogsteen; and her brother-in-law John Poortinga.
She is survived by : her siblings, Theresa Poortinga, John Hovius (Beth), Sadie Oldewening (Arnold), Ben Hovius (Pat) and Freda McCallum; her brother-in-law Wayne Hoogsteen; her stepbrother Gary Bouwknegt; and her friends, Marian Weesjes, Glenna Dean and Mary Anne McMullen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
