He was predeceased by : his wives, Antoinette Chaleyssin (DeBacker) and Annette Chaleyssin (Blanchard); his stepdaughter Lynn; his sister Reine; and his parents, Jean Pierre and Antoinette Chaleyssin (Poulet).

He is survived by : his son Gerard Chaleyssin (Vickie) of Tillsonburg; his grandchildren, Nichelle (Marco), Branden (Morgan) and Gaston (Brittanie); and his sister Pierrette. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
