He was predeceased by : his daughter Valerie; his grandson Ethan; his great grandchild Avery; his sister Marion Coleman; and his parents, Harry Simpson and Edith Simpson (Helka).

He is survived by : his wife Betty Simpson (Zavitz); his children, Marvin (Cathy) of Belmont, Ruthann Waldick (Todd) of Belmont, Mary-Jo Walker (Brad) of Belmont and Steven (Mary Margaret) of Belmont; his grandchildren, Shane (Kristine), Blair (Vanessa), Emily, Aileen, Reed, Breanna (Jake), Adam, Spencer, Jeremy and Sarah; his great grandchild Kya; and his sister Betty Smith of Dorchester. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Donations to the Belmont Park or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
