He was predeceased by : his sisters, Bonnie Ostrander (Wayne) and Ada Stevens (Angelo); and his parents, Ben Afman and Tina Afman (Vriezema). He is survived by : his wife Mary Afman (Cummings); his children, Shannon Thompson (Jesse) of Aylmer, Megan Afman of Waterloo and Miranda Johnson (Brent) of Aylmer; his grandchildren, Jack, Reed Thompson and Audrey Johnson; his siblings, Edna Prins (Jack), Theo Afman (late Betty) and Annie Vandenboogaard (Bill); his parent-in-law Claire Hepburn; and his siblings-in-law, Mark Cummings (Tracey), Jo-Anne Stinson, John Cummings (Sharon), Peggy Cummings (Deb), Bob Cummings (Anita) and Carolyn MacMillan (Kevin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
