She was predeceased by: her son Johnnie Friesen; her siblings, Gerhard and Helen Friesen (Neil); her siblings-in-law, Tina, Elizabeth and Jacob; and her parents, John Harms and Margaret Harms (Dyck).
She is survived by: her husband John Friesen; her children, Johnny Friesen (Melissa) and Annie Friesen (Willy); her grandchildren, Brooke, Piper, Magdalena and Malachi; and her siblings, John Harms (Suzy), Jacob Harms, Margaret Wiebe (Jake), Susan Peters, Aganetha Dueck (John), Justina Bueckert (Henry) and Mary Bueckert (Ben). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
