With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barry Gillespie of Ayr, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda; his brother David (Polly); and his parents, John "Bussy" Gillespie and Alice Gillespie. He is survived by: his children, Laura Gillespie (Craig), Sarah Brown (Anthony), Alison Gillespie, Victor Morrison and Sean Gillespie; his grandchildren, Piper, Liam, Ophelia, Ronin, Stevie, Tyler and Andrea; his great grandchildren, Josh, Reyja and Athena Dear; his brother Malcolm (late Debbie); and his close friend Dawn Mitts. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
