James Melvin Sherk Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Melvin Sherk of Ayr, Ontario, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on May 30, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Sherk and Bessie Sherk; his siblings, Douglas (Phyllis), Raymond "Tyke" (Joan), William (Joan), Liz Kostuik and Esther Mitchell; and also William.

He is survived by: his wife Gail; his son Ken (Amber); his grandsons, Mathew and Nathan; his brothers-in-law, Dr. John Kostuik (Marilyn) and Glen Guthrie (Jean); and also, Dawn and Margaret Makins (Bill). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ayr Chapel, Wm Kipp Funeral Home (183 Northumberland St, Ayr, ON N0B1E0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
