He was predeceased by: his parents, Gert Sangers and Wilhelmina Sangers; and his siblings, Herman Sangers (Corrie), Annie Sluis (Jan), Piet Sangers (Mien), Gert Sangers (Bep), Corrie Steenkamp (Wim) and Adrie Sangers.
He is survived by: his wife Rina; his children, Elizabeth Hicks (Dave), Gerald Sangers (Kris), Peter Sangers (Theresa Kusch), John Sangers (Crystal), Robert Sangers (Valerie Lessard), Wilma Vannatter (Jeff), Catharine Sangers (Bob Snell) and Mary Leggett (Cory Dominix); and his sister Nell van den Ouderrijn of Holland. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
