We bid farewell to Shirley Mitchell of Ayr, Ontario, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 12, 2025 at the age of 89. Shirley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband George Mitchell; her parents, Adam Clare and Mary Jean Douglas; and her in-laws, Bob and Janis Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Mitchell of Paris, Pat Elliott (John) of Ayr and Carol Monaghan (Mark); her grandchildren, Lindsay, Jesse, Tayler, Turner, Dawson, Jack, Sydney and George; her great grandchildren, Harper, Bennett, Charlotte, Mason, Theodore, Brooklynn and Miles; her sister Marilyn Scott (late Bill); and her sister-in-law Dorothy Mitchell (late Bill). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kipp Funeral Home (183 Northumberland St, Ayr, ON N0B1E0). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Knox United Church (92 Northumberland St, Ayr, ON N0B1E0).
