He was predeceased by : his sister Annette Marcotte (Rhéal); and his parents, Albini Bouillon and Dorina Bouillon (Cuillerier). He is survived by : his spouse Claire Bouillon (Mayer); his children, Réal Bouillon (Betty), Anne Charbonneau (Denis), Pierrette "Pete" Bouillon, Lynn Beaulieu (Claude), Paul Bouillon (Lynn) and Chantal (Gord); his grandchildren, Marc, Louis, Paul, Julie, Bruno, Sébastien, Nadia, Mathieu, Nicolas and Patrick; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Lilianne, Cédric, Chloé, Ariel, Zack and Tyler; his brothers, Albert (Bernadette), Roland (Jeanine), Donald (May) of Orléans and Robert (Lise) of Victoriaville, Québec.; and his siblings-in-law, Pierrette Ouellet (late Rock), Nicole, Bob Tessier, Richard Mayer, Monique and Lucien Gervais. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

“I remember playing with Sonny as a kid, going to hockey games in the 50s to watch the Sudbury Wolves, and playing hockey with Sonny and my brother Gary. Funny, I never knew him as Gerard only as Sonny. My mother Ida, my brother, and I felt he was part of our family. Sonny loved life & he lived largely. In his later years, Sonny & Claire traveled in their RV through the U.S. & Canada enjoying life. I'll miss him. Stan Coules”
