Doreen Ellen Schade Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doreen Ellen Schade (Bala, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 18, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doreen Ellen Schade to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Foster Ray Schade; her parents, Rhoda Commandant and Daniel Commandant; and her siblings, Bruce, Dorothy, Mina, Alec, Lorna, Daniel and Annie.
She is survived by: her son Peter Lorenz (Denise); her sister Loreen Helen Downey; her nieces, Colleen Mendes (Trevor), Maureen Downey (Phil) and Aileen Leavitt (Gerard); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Matthew Downey, Amanda Da Conceicao (Thomas), Alicia Brennan (Aidan), Alexander Mendes (Megan), Victoria Mendes (Jeff), Cheryl Commandant (Joe), Jim Commandant (Erin), Paige Commandant, Christian Leavitt and Lucas Leavitt (Bella).
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Calendar Wahta Mohawk United Church (2260 Muskoka District Road 38, Bala, ON P0C1A0). A burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM. A reception will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
