He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Pettipas and Viola Pettipas; his brother Ronald; and his father-in-law Arnold. He is survived by : his wife Marie (Creighton); his children, Dawn Pettipas and Derrick Fossett; his grandchildren, Taylor (Bailey), Michael, Brandon, Tristin and Justin; his great grandchild Cooper; his siblings, Marjory Crossman (Frank) of New Brunswick, Corinne, John of Toronto and Paul (Ruth) of Toronto; and his mother-in-law Mary Creighton. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

“Growing up with his son, Derrick, and his daughter, Dawn, I was always excited when I was able to visit and spend time with Bruce. Bruce and Marie made me feel like I was part of their family. I always looked up to Bruce, and in many ways he helped make me who I am today. It was a true blessing to know Bruce, and anyone that had the honour of having him in their life knows what I mean. I'll miss you, Bruce !”
